Visit

OutsideTown clock-1Dalbeattie is a small town in Dumfries and Galloway and is easily accessed by road from the M6/A75 from Gretna via Dumfries or by train to Dumfries.

Dalbeattie is known as the Granite Town and sits in the Urr Valley 15 miles from Dumfries, 6 miles from Castle Douglas and 4 miles from the coastal villages of Kippford and Rockcliffe.

The Museum is situated on Dalbeattie High Street, close to car parking and shopping area.

The Museum is a registered Charity (SC003247) run by a dedicated team of Volunteers and funded by visitor donations. These donations help us to cover the cost of the day to day running of the Museum, including providing and maintaining the building, insurance, heating and lighting.

Without these kind donations the museum would not be here.
